Ok this is my second nail of the day today because I had some free time and I wanted to experiment with some nail art. To do this, first I painted my nails solid white. Then once it was completely dry, I cut out small fingernail sized pictures from the comic section of the newspaper (I used Beetle Bailey). Then I wet one of the pictures with rubbing alcohol and placed out picture side down onto my nail. I held it firmly onto my nail for 1 to 2 minutes. Its very important to be still during this time so the paper doesn’t slide and smear the ink that is transferred. After I repeated this on all of my nails, I coated my nails with two coats of clear polish.
Mine didn’t come out quite as well as the tutorial on youtube. Im thinking it’s because I used newspaper instead of an actual comic book. The colors from newspaper ink definitely don’t come out that vibrant.
